I think you are spot on there. We haven't had a charismatic leader for quite a while now. Gordon Brown plumbed new depths to my mind.

I think it is quite sad when you realise that most of the MP's seem only to be in it for the kudos/expenses. If only there were more Beast of Bolsovers.

After the demise of such as Aneurin Bevan I lost all interest in politics. Been old enough to vote for 50 years, only voted once.. What is the point? It would seem each and every one of these politicians is in it for themselves, 'as already said'. Agreed with one bloke on the telly this morning who said, 'if Nigel Farage died, UKIP would die with him'...

Why shouldn't business and government leaders be educated :-\

Criticism of an education is stupidly narrow minded. I for one would much rather be governed by an educated 'Toff' than by a biggoted shop steward who thinks that black people are from outer space...

Anyone can become a councillor or MP. If you don't like something, the vote for changes. If that doesn't work for you, then empower yourself and stand for what you believe in.

But ffs, don't sit there bleating about how shit government and politicians are, and in the same breath admit to not voting >:(

If you don't like it, either do summat about it or shut up :-X

None of the mainstream parties (and I just about include UKIP as mainstream) are much cop. The 3 big ones have reality to deal with, the 4th lacks any consistent policies.
