Any hardware place would do I would have thought - B&Q, Homebase etc, just need the larger 'superstores' as the smaller outlets seem to only carry the top selling products.

I think you might find that that is quite thick as it's for tying in blockwork and roof trusses. Of course it all depends on what you want to use it for.

Perforated strap, universal repair strap, universal exhaust hanger. You should be able to get it from halfords or any motor factors.

Perforated metal strip. All sorts of uses and suppliers, depending on how thick you want it. B&Q, Wickes or Maplins are worth a try on a Sunday afternoon.

If its thick and galvanised, then its probably part of the Unstrut Family, can be used to aid Cable Trays to Unistrut etc, also seen it used on Fencing and Industrial Cladding Framework.

The Screwfix link looks like a thinner Lintel / Breeze Block straps.

It is galvanised.

As it happens, I didn't even need the bits they supplied, let alone more.  Job jobbed, cheers all :y

I should add, its the sort of thing I walk into the local hardware store, Brackley DIY, get halfway to the counter, the staff see what I have in my hand and shout over where I'll find it.

Downside of these old world, traditional hardware stores is that they shut at 1pm on a Saturday, and don't open again until Monday ;D.  Other downside is when the old duffer running the business pops his clogs, they tend to lose the service element, try and be like the big boys, then go tits up.

We have one remaining shop like that in Wakefield. When George pops his clogs/retires, we will miss him a lot.

There's one near where I work, but I think the grandsons have taken over, and its slowly going down the Gary Glitter.  People don't want to buy USB leads and card readers, they want to buy nails and tools!
