Infrared thermometer... harmful to your eyes?

As above. Accidentally shone this in my eyes yesterday. didnt think anything more of it buit got a bit of a headache today and my eyes feel really tired.

Worth getting an eye appointmernt?

....although if only brief exposure I doubt it's had any effect.

But if your trying to find the temp of the back of your eye, that would be a bit daft young bear ;D ;)

Depends if its a legal or illegal laser based one

A legal one will be Class 1 and hence safe......a dodgy one could be high power and cause issues.

The simple fact you can see tells you the real answer though.

Remember also, that its the laser that can cause issues, not the infra red sensor that actually measures the temperature as that emits nothing......

Because it could be a blood sugar issue unrelated to any exposure...
