I think it mostly shows that the super-small engined cars spend their lives being ragged silly to try and get them to move at anything like a decent pace..

The middle ground was still the most efficient, after all..

Still, I'm still personally torn between a 1.6L X-Trail and a 3.2L Ranger but I definitely know which would be the more efficient! ;D

Juan trusts juan is talking about the Ford Ranger?

I'd love one!!!!!!!!! They do look pretty basic inside but they're beautiful on the outside. The first time i've ever looked at a truick and thought ''phwoar'' :)

Its still just a glorified lorry/Pick up truck, Mr Bear.

How much builders rubble is it able to haul?..... ::) ::) ;)

I'm way too fat for a Westfield, Opti  :-[ :-[ Although I've sometimes wondered about asking Kev if I can try his for size, there's the distinct possibility that I might get in and never get out ;D

But yep Webby, it's the Ford Ranger - likewise I think they're really meaty looking, for want of a better term, and they're a hoot to drive (especially sideways, ahem).

Opti - 1.2tonnes in the bed (5 seat models) and 3.5tonnes on the hitch ;)

Okay......but most will never see any rubble. :)

PS...I've sat in (but not driven a Griff) and they are quite roomy for the well-upholstered among us. :y

Anyway.... In true Texas style, a Ford Ranger is nothing without a gun rack. ;D

Shouldn't be a problem here in the UK. ::) ::) :)

that's if you have more cylinders than doors  ::) ::) ::)

Hopefully V8 next year  :)  The old 1.1 pug needed a good flogging to get it moving at any pace , as said you always need to thrash the ass of the smaller cars  :( Would never try an overtaking manoeuvre in it as you knew it just wasnt capable  :(

Trouble is I know I should be sensible here.. I actually ordered the X-trail back in July (it still hasn't arrived yet, original delivery date was mid September!) and it's more economical, cheaper to own over three years by about £3k once you include tax, fuel, insurance and servicing..

..but the big kid in me wants the giant humungous truck ;D
