My new pal The Vauxhall Parts Manager
« on: 21 November 2006, 19:07:13 »

Top bloke - is about to cause a domestic !

Went in for the second time today to get more parts for the veccy, thats me got 20litres of semi, 20 litres of red coolant, oil cooler, radiator in the last week - seemed to recognse me instantly ( think it was the red suit and white beard that did it...anyway)

Got talking away and he is gonna slip an extra discount here and there on non tc parts   :)

He will also do an Irmscher twin back box discounted for me £320 inc vat which is a hell of a price i think. Problem is theres only one left  :o

Now wheres that wife of mine - need to tell her, i mean ask her permission to buy it.

This might be a daft question, but how do you go about getting a TC card...I plan on keeping my Omega for years to come so one would save me a few quid in the years to come!!

Blag one by pretending to be in the trade. Free. Tradeclub website access, and a printed pricelist :y

Join a club that is a member of VBOA (around £15 - £25 per year, no website or printed price list)

My Parts Manager is brilliant and is always very helpful (he is a friend of one of my best mates though). He even looks embarrased when he tells me the prices (even with discount). He once told me to go to another supplier cos they would do it cheaper.

That is what I call service!

The Service manager on the other hand, seems to make all my jobs last longer than they should just to squeeze me for a few extra pounds
