2.2 Petrol Aux belt
« on: 27 October 2014, 20:33:29 »

Hi,
Has any one had any trouble with replacement aux belt for the 2001 2.2 petrol?

I need a new one and it seems the belt supplied by VX is too big. It has the same markings on as the belt currently on my car (1900 6PK) but it is about 10/15 mil too big.
When the new belt is on, there is about an inch of flap at the top coming of the alternator pully!

Local VX have said that is the only belt they have listed for the car and the only thing they could suggest was trying somewhere like euro car parts and asking if they have a shorter belt!

Any ideas?
