Ban em!

Displays only. The public use stuff is pathetic. Go to a proper display imo. Cheaper, less irritating to neighbours. Safer. And you get a better experience.
Agreed, but that said when I was younger and more foolish we had a hell of a laugh with a jape me and my mates did. we where in a cow field armed with bangers called booms  which where lather large ( and because of that to the best of my memory where subsequently banned) There was four of us that came across a freshly deposited cow pat which was still steaming :D me and my mate held down another of the gang face down with his arms and legs spread out whist the other of the team inserted three of the fore mentioned bangers into the cow pooh he lit the fuses and we held the victim until the last second when we "legged it" 8) however the the poor guy did not have the time to stand up and run from the area that would be covered by dispersed cow pooh ;D It was like a morter shell on the battle of the Somme it went every where, and he was covered in cow sh*t. That said he took in good heart and is still a good mate :y

We have got a big, 7 1/2 stone German Sheppard and i've spent the last few days cuddling him when the oppsers start  >:(
Poor bugger can't stop shaking with every bang and won't even go out for a slash until after 2 in the morning when its all calmed down  :(

Don't get me wrong here, when my kids was young we had a bloody big fireworks party ever year BUT NOWDAYS, it starts around the end of October and doesn't stop until well after new year which is just taking the piss imo  >:( >:(

Its quite nice to live somewhere where I'm not having to duck low-flung fireworks as I bike home... Only thing is the Gastrodog, despite being a Staffy, is scared of her own barks. So fireworks and her REALLY don't mix...

After howling winds and horizontal rain earlier today, it cleared up to a still moonlight light for a spectacular fireworks display off the end of the seawall and a huge bonfire on the beach!  8)  :y
