Omega front grill
« on: 05 November 2014, 06:17:08 »

Right,
After I cleaned and pamperd the faded old original omega grill on the bonnet, someone managed to throw a brick at it. Lol

Had a stone from some idiot in front of me hitting the grill, now is broke.
Lucky me, no radiator damage.

My question, looking grills on ebay, I found one which is mesh type stuff.
Black and no badge. Very cheap. Emailed the guy and he give it for nearly nothing away.
Unused, he bough it and never fitted it.

But all he knows is for a omega B.

Are all them the same?
Any difference between the b versions?
I have the facelift 2000 registration.

I know some of you think it should have the badge but I never be a friend of badges so I don't mind .

I just want to know as I would have to send one of my drivers to collect due to being busy with work, and don't want to send someone and he brings me something useless.

Thank you

All facelift and minifacelift grilles are the same, the preface grilles are a different animal altogether...

The mesh type grilles are IMHO ruddy horrible to look at, with or without a badge...

I have a spare Irmscher grille here for a prefacelift thats doing nothing, you can have for free if you can come and collect it from Wigan... I also have an Irmscher grille for a facelift (the very expensive and unavailable) thats going up for sale soon...

I think you are wrong there minifreek. Pfl and mfl griles are interchangable but fl grilles are differant as they fit into the bonnet.

T'other way round Matt. PFL & MFL are the same body wise, the FL's grille is attached to the bonnet  ;)

Ha ha. Because I. Too busy. Lol
Working in derby. Start between 4am and 9am finish between 4pm and 9pm. Ha ha

If I'm around burton it's mainly weekends shopping.

And also it's just a sliver estate, nothing much too it apart from the black windows.

Ok, so I can go for any  grill which is fitted into the bonnet I guess?

Thanks for the offer btw. I only paying the driver a coffee for collecting the one I can have. It's free too.

If I don't like it when it's on I go for the normal one. :)

Really would love to see a subtle (as we all have different styles of modding our cars, from the original factory, to glittery paint and chrome wheels) badge. I know there's the rear window decals, but obviously not visible when they're coming toward you.

I like the logo, that looks really similar to the Irmscher grille badge, i think it's really attractive

Usualy I do modify my cars and give my personnel touch to the cars I owe, but there is nothing I want to change or add on the omega.
Maybe I'm getting to old? Or just because there is not much you can do on the omega without making it look stupid?
Don't know.
Give me some ideas. He he
