Came back from shopping this morning and there was a funny noise coming from the engine area. So pulleup and opened bonnet to find the noise, when all of a sudden a gust of wind blew the bonnet onto my back hard ;D ;D

much to swmbo delight ;D ;D

and yes I did swear to scrap the f'ing thing :D

turns out noise is when I depress the clutch so thinking thrust bearing?

I had a noise like that once, I also thought it was the thrust bearing.... It turned out that there was no oil in the gearbox and fifth gear decided to not work.... then fourth.... this all happened on our way back from north Wales and we had 50 miles to go before we got home, needless to say the fuelling suffered as we went all the way home in 3rd gear LOL
