So the other day drivers door mirror gets hit,body colour casing nowhere to be found black plastic bit that frames mirror as you look at it from drivers seat broken.This afternoon got chance to get to local breakers who've always been very good on price "Got any Omegas in?"says I."Yes there's two down the yard on the right"replies he.Great off I go only to find that one is a N reg-in CD spec-and other is a S reg Elite!Although both are largely intact-including door mirrors,neither are any good for my W reg!! Oh bother!!!! there goes that idea then!

Why is that? I am sure they are interchangeable, our Mig currently has a PFL and a FL Mirror on, they are slightly different shapes, but fine for swmbo........

I have another FL one in the garage, in the correct colour, waiting.......

I have needed a few over the years, tend to buy them off here.........

I am happy to be corrected if I have this wrong.

I always thought P/F/L and M/F/L mirrors were same and F/L different,but then what do I know,you may well be correct,willing to be better informed.

They all fit as the doors are physically the same... But pre/mfl are directly interchangeable, whereas fl won't be due to wiring differences... plugs will need swapping over. Not all pfls had electric mirrors whereas facelifts are all electric.

Besides, fitting odd mirrors will look proper stupid

aren't Elites that have memory seats differenter (wiring wise) again ......
