Aye  :y Does it need any lubrication ? I have thoroughly cleaned out all the dust with a fine brush  :y

Also found 2 dash screws rolling around inside the panel  ::)

Fan itself rarely fails, its the driver circuit that does. I've never lubricated any, as it will attract the dust, and seize

Maybe just a dusting of that antistatic dust repelling pledge mr sheen polish stuff? Appreciate they never did that in the factory, of course.

I'd expect the system to work more accurately, ie not having to have it at extremes to get it to respond well, but not cure that particular problem.
