If someone, such as the good Mr Andy C or Omegod etc can confirm that any Vauxhall 2.2DTi engine fuel pump will work on an Omega, I will get down my local scrappy and have a look for you. Not much chance, but a chance nonetheless, Joff  :)

Question is how do you know they are useable, as they are high value for a used part I only sell them if I can vouch for them having been ok by either knowing the car or using it myself for a reasonable time.

9119221/9193454/9196993/R1590041 are all listed for X22DTH/X20DTL/X20DTH on various models

24413104/R1590050 go over to 9199204 which is the only number fir a Y22DTH and the Y22DTH is the one fitted to the Omega so look for any of these three numbers

Andy

Will have to check the number on the elite pump :y

Yeh, spot on, although they do just go with no previous warning i've found.  >:(

If it's just the EDC that is at fault I think it's far better to get that repaired than mess about trying to swap the whole pump off a DTi.

To Diamond Black - As per my first post,it has to be a pump off a 2.2DTi Omega, there is no crossover afaik, even the Y22DTR Vectra 2.2 version is different, trust me, been there, got the T-Shirt. I would put money on 99% of DTi's (in any Vauxhall) are in a scrapyard because of Pump or Pump EDC failure, therefore you'd be wasting your effort removing one from a scrap vehicle.

Oh and the other 1% are there because of crank pulley failure!  ;D

Depends if you go genuine GM or not, had two none genuine ones fail, although the failure is often caused by a failed tensioner which will need to be replaced as well.

Incidently, My local garage who does my MOT's has had five Audi's in with Crank pulley failure in the space of two weeks... At least it's not a VX exclusive club!  ;D

Ok, it seems according to Opel Parts Base, that there are three fuel pumps,

9119221 used on
Frontera B
Omega B
Sintra

9193454 / 9196993 / R1590041
Astra G
Zafira A
Omega B
Vectra B

24413104 / 9199204 / R1590050
Omega B
Vectra B

Question is... which is yours, and will any other other fit?? Trying to help all I can mate - hope any will 'do' in spite of their different part numbers. Seems no mention of Vectra C, which appears to be different altogether  :(
Be cautious using online parts guides, most of them are desperately incorrect.

They fail all the time, genuine or not.

A modern solution to a problem that didn't exist!!!

A bit like DMF's

Yes, agreed.

Actually the Omega DMF's are pretty robust compared to others out there.

Tis true, thing is on here you really only hear about the problem stuff......mostly. :(

But at least they are easy to work on!! :)

AND I did see on one website (I think a SAAB one0 somebody changed the CMOS (if I remember) in the pump ecu on a diy basis and it worked fine.

Cheap as chips if done that way. :y

I've just sold a used pump for £125 after having it on eBay for months without a single sniff so it might be worth you making silly offers for the ones still on ebay
