Not seeing a v engine listed. :-\

Might be the death of the v8 too as the top model is a v6. Although appears to be States only. ...so far.

Easy to see why -  It's hideous enough to sell well there.  ;D

A bit marmite, granted. But I like marmite. Especially quick marmite. Cracking interior though. :)

The M3 is nothing in comparison.

The M5 on the other hand!  ;D

I know what you meant!  ;)

From Wikipedia - re: marmite - This distinctive taste is reflected in the British company's marketing slogan: "Love it or hate it." The product's name has entered British English as a metaphor for something that is an acquired taste or tends to polarise opinions

You'll have to forgive my ignorance. I don't speak British English. I speak 'Murican.

As for the ATS....meh. Cadillac's origami folded sheetmetal is a turn-off for me, no matter its performance, comfort, or luxury. If a car makes me cringe as I walk up to it I won't buy it. Too many gratuitous sharp creases, styling cues, and chrome bits for my taste. The windswept headlight trailing back along the tops of the fenders (wings) are stupid looking as are the foreward swept tail lights. The hood (bonnet) is already too high and then they add an additional hump? The high beltline makes the car look as if its roof has been chopped by hotrodders leaving too small windows as a result.

Cadillac isn't alone in commiting this crime. The Germans, Swedes, and Italians are accomplices. They've all lost their distinctive styles. It used to be that you could tell the cars at a distance by their national, familial, looks but no more. Instead we get Asian knock-offs. I can't tell a BMW from a Kia when overtaking. It's a damned shame.

Apart from being similar shades of white, I don't see many similarities between the two vehicles you have posted.  :-\

Marmite. You either love it or hate it. :)

Although I can't actually say I love it (the cts body shape) being totally honest ;D I do
like the angular nature of it. Stealthy, springs to mind. But I take your point on the high window line Elvin. I sometimes see shirt and tied exec types in other similar cars trying to look relaxed with one elbow resting on to door ledge. But in doing so they're elbow is up by their ear hole. "Hay look at me.... 8) " ::) just looks stupid. ;D

Nearly bought an STS three years ago... looked really smart in a dark grey metallic, but the smaller, current crop of Cadillacs look fussy imho :-\

That said, over here they do stand out as being something a bit different 8)
