F1 Finale- might be a spoiler by later today
« on: 23 November 2014, 10:57:00 »

I am really looking forward to this final F1 race. There hasn't been much between Rosberg and Hamilton all season. Strong pairing unlike some of the other teams. Hope no mechanical failures.

Nice to see Red Bull get clobbered for err bending the wing rules. If nothing else Dan will be impressive haring through the field.

Anyone else wonder if Vettel is going to a few years of Ferrari wilderness? I am sure that Mclaren/Honda will be competitive and so will Mercedes next year. maybe Ferrari have a new engine? Maybe Ross Brawn is coming back if they can shovel all the dead wood away?

A few other places down the field to be decided too. Alonso Vettel for example though that now maybe a foregone conclusion.

I enjoyed that. I was still clenching my buttocks even when Rosberg was out of it.

I've always said Lewis is the best driver on the grid, an amazing day for him!! But I can't help but worry for Jenson! It won't be the same without him I do hope Mclaren realise he still has it in him!! :y

He's scored 120 odd points against the Danes 50odd,it'll be salary cost that decides it sadly as Alonso is going to cost them dear,I'll be sad if he's not there next year :'(

As Mclaren struggled for a main sponsor this season I fear you are right, but on the other hand they have said they want the best 2 drivers available which would be Jenson and fernando

Congratulation to Lewis. (Not that he's reading this ;D ) double world champion 2014 :y

Awsome car/team/driver package to over at Brackley. I wonder what Ross Brawn was thinking as Lewis crossed the line? Lewis had some messages from him I think he mentioned. Louder wasn't particularly complimentary, saying Brawn wanted to go fishing. That's not how I rememder it ::)

Personally I get a sense of satisfaction seeing Ferrari struggling so much AND dealing with their arrogance at the same time. ;D however, interesting comments here regarding enhancing change, and NOT being afraid of it, Varche. ;)

Under all that though. I do get a sense of unfairness given the amount of development time Mercedes have had with their Engines over everyone else since almost 2010. Almost two years more than Ferrari going by some reports did I see? That can't be right.

Anyway, Ferarri need to move to the UK I recon. Rather than trying to Nic UK engineers and claim the glory for Italy.

I actually think the Mclaren/Honda package could potentially be up there fighting with Mercedes (I hope)

If Dennis the menis is to be believed then yes. But then, he would suggest as much, wouldn't he.

Ross Brawn (under the right heirarchy) would be a good thing for Ferrari.

Mclaren. If I was the team boss I would let both drivers go. Button (for all of him being British) never really hit the top notes for me good number two driver in his time and crucially good in wet weather. Plenty of talented young drivers available for not much money to occupy the number two seat with Alonso. Who? would ever want that job! All you need to do is look at Dan Ricciardo to see what I mean. Who would have thought a rookie would show up the (supposed) talent of Vettel? There I expect to be bullied at school tomorrow.

Ferrari (FIA) has had it their own way in the past but what is the answer over engines? One make of engine only? Can't see Ferrari agreeing to that unless it was theirs. Ferrari engine in a Merc can't see that either. It is interesting how Williams can make a more reliable car that is nearly as fast as the Mercs. Will we be saying next year after total dominance by Honda that they had all that time to perfect an engine (something they have done before by the way)
