We have agreed that I will take over her contract, change to my number, as I am PAYG and we will carry on with EE till the 6 months is up............ ::) ::)
If EE are like all the other providers, you won't be able to have her contract and keep your own number (whatever your contract states is what will apply to the new SIM card)

Never again will I buy a phone from one of these modern Pawn Shops............. ::) ::)
It's only Apple that make you jump through those hoops, buy an Android handset and the unlock code is generated via the IMEI number.

Yes, I can, the contract she is on is Tesco, and as it is me who pays, it is in my name. Having spoken to them they are happy to put my number onto the sim, just need my 'pack code'. Then in 3 months time either, put her back on Tesco and me return to payg or leave me on that and get an EE contract, not really bothered as long as I can 'cap' the bill....... ;) :y
I think that's PUK code, Mike.

I think something is getting lost in translation Mike.
Yes you can port your number to another provider, but that is all you'll be porting.
You can port your number to an EE SIM so the iPhone works as it will have an EE SIM in it, but you can't port the Tesco contract with it as you will no longer be on the Tesco network. So if you buy an EE PAYG card, while it will have your Tesco number you will still have the EE PAYG contract to live by.

It's PAC code actually Steve, the PUK code is only required if you lock the SIM out by entering the 4 digit password incorrectly 3 times (if you actually have a SIM passcode set up of course).

I obviously have not explained our situation very well, sorry...... :-[

We have a Tesco Contract Miss Vamps was using, it is currently unused, we pxed the phone and got a second hand I phone 5s? locked to EE which is why the Tesco contract is currently unsued.

I have an 02 payg sim

Miss Vamps has, by default, an EE Sim, currently on payg.

I am simply going to use the Tesco contract, but have my number moved to it.

Miss Vamps is happy to stay with EE and all her friends have her new number, so not a problem, currently on payg, but I may change that to a contract with EE - needs to be looked into.

Hope this makes makes ting more clearly............ :y :y

An o2 locked phone should be fine on Tesco. Some Tesco locked phones will not work on pure O2/Giffgaff/etc
