some observations, so new battery
« on: 08 December 2014, 20:59:26 »

in place & everthing tightened up.
Key in the ignition & she quickly turns over , but the car/spanner light is blinking on & off & she`s not firing.  ???
I re-check everything & the same result 2nd try, 3rd try etc.

Igntion off & battery negative off & replaced. key back in & she instantly fires up.

No warning lights now, so what was that guys, any ideas

Not unknown for the immobiliser module attached to the steering column to misbehave. One in my 3.2 does very occasionally (Like once every 2 years!), a wiggle of the blue plug and all is well again.

Immobiliser doesn't care if there is a battery or not in the fob ;).

It cares that the little chip that clips in the horseshoe is nearby.

Its an omega anything can happen. You probably find it was the rear pads sticking to the disc that caused the back box to block the fuel filter flow to the air filter which in turn made the radio short circuit thus the spaner light came on  :y
