As it said no visible damage , I would ask for a refund. The only thing is you will incur P&P costs

Ebay can not be trusted, you take a risk.
But i like to think that members of OOF would describe accurately.
Really would like to hear both sides of the story.

I am not sure the part sent was the same as that pictured in the eBay ad.

Could be a simple error in that the wrong one ( if seller has lots of parts lying around) was sent.

Best bet would be to contact seller, explain your concerns and see what response you get.

OK I am going to state my opinion.

They had more than one and sent you the wrong one!

Having had the opportunity to review the eBay item-listing; it would seem the item dispatched may not be the one described/pictured in the listing and as such; a genuine error is always a possibility.

Given the above, then the seller should be offered (and take advantage-of) the opportunity to refund or replace (at their expense); if he/she does not take that opportunity then escalation to dispute with eBay would surely be the way to go.

It`s a shame to observe that the seller took the opportunity for a 'knee-jerk' reply to your purely statemental feedback, an action in the heat of the moment which has done him/her no favours. :(

to be fair we'd had a 2 email each conversation prior to this feedback which started :

"Hi Mark

Package arrived today very well wrapped - but when i opened it i was shocked to see the condition off it, it is very rusty and bent/dented with obvious crash damage. You described this item as quote "EXCELLENT CLEAN EXAMPLE REMOVED FROM A FULL RUNNING OMEGA 2.5 V6
NO VISABLE DAMAGE!" this is not true.

I don't want to get shirty but i expect a full refund (including postage) for an item which is clearly not as described and frankly fit fot the bin.

Yours disapointedly

Jake"

which some may find harsh offensive? (another poll ?) but i thought was curt and to the point particularly when the seller was someone i thought i could trust ::)
