Lift pump, yeah?
Unless they're dramatically different on the 2.2s, it's (very simply, lots more backache etc.. in practice, of course)
carpet up
plate off
undo ring
pull off old pump
stick on new one
reassemble.
If you're not into the job yourself, it's definitely an easy enough job for many of the wandering Omega mechanics there are out there.
Also, personally, if you're ever at the point where there's 'the car's value' in work to be done, I tend to say, well, yeah, but keep the car - after all, once it's done you know it's never going to need doing again, you know? Again, the perception when people are in two minds about keeping a car is 'hmmm, need to get rid of this car, it's costing me money, get another' as if any other car will, automatically, never cost a penny in maintenance.. the next car could cost you double in a year. You don't know. I say stick to what you know - or buy another good 'known' Omega off the forum

Like buy mine, for instance...
only one huge dent on the rear wing, passenger door mirror currently sellotaped on, three types of alloy wheel, comes with free bird muck, clunky autobox, exhaust in need of welding... oh, and needs the liftpump doing at some point
