paranormal activity
« on: 27 June 2008, 08:40:10 »

At work last night we were on the ward. Its 3am and all asleep. One of the nurses at at the nursing station and myself and a doc chatting outside the office which is about 20m from where the nurse is sat.

A patient wearing a very long nightdress walks behind the nurse at the nurse station and goes into the toilet... so I go and ask the nure who was up... nobody he says. myself and the doc look each other at and say that she had just gone into loo..... female nurse goes to look who it is....... nobody there and the loo is bloody freezing..... like ice!!!

Now I would put it down to 3am blahg blah blah... but 2 of us saw it and we dont have a female patient with such a long nighty that is as tall as this    'thing' was.

Realised and boy I just hoped it was shepards pie in my pants!!!!

Apparently it comes to light these sort of things are a regular happening on this ward.... they can stuff that tonight... I am staying well away.  :o :o :o

 :o Haunting for an answer?........but `haven`t a ghost of a chance! ;D

.....but seriously; I`d think (perhaps) a circadially-tired Psychnurse mind was playing nocturnal tricks. ;)

i like that......

17:00 Greatest Cardiovascular efficiency and muscle strength - is that when everyone legs it for the door out of the office  ;D

Paranormal has always fascinated me, i wonder if there is something in it or is it our minds playing tricks, or even a subconcious <sp> bringing up memories of a past life/event

That ain't my biological clock!

I don't think I run on a 24 hour cycle, even.  More like 27, so I'm never asleep when I ought to be.

I think I may possibly be an alien who evolved on another planet.   :'(

But it definitely wasn't me in that hospital ward - nothing wraith-like about me.  More sort of R2D2 shape, though a bit hairier. :)

You may joke about a 27-hour cycle but there was some research done in the 80's (I think) where people lived in a cave for a month with no time references. After a week or so they settled into a 27ish hour day.

;D It`s a shame that the (likely) 08.30 event often coincides with peoples` morning drive to work. ;D

No joke - I know about that experiment.  The problem is that most of the rest of humanity has adapted to the 24 hour cycle better than I have :(

I always like to make sure I'm at my desk by 08:30.  The "event" then occurs in my employer's time.  It's frequently the high point of the working day.  :)

I'v been known to fake it... :) :) :)

i have heard of this type of occurence in hospitals several times over the years,i always believed all the paranormal stuff was complete claptrap until the late nineties until we spent 5 years living in a big old house which was always known locally as being haunted.some of the things that happened there altered my views somewhat. :o
