I was working, but have the film anyway. I think it's the best Bond film yet

Goldeneye is, IMHO, the best Modern Bond film, although being mid 90's, I suppose it isn't modern at all.

The later films have lost the plot, so to speak.  Understandable with Casino Royale, which was an adaptation of a much earlier story.  That film and the following one's have not lived up to the earlier Bond movies.

And for the record, I thing Daniel Craig took over the role from Brosnan very well, and the bond girls are not getting any worse, that's for sure.

goldeneye is not (in my opinion)not very good....brosnan not bad at bond.....craig is far better....much grittier and plays the part of 007 very well.....and turk..get your finger out and watch skyfall..lol....brilliant film

I agree!  

Apart from him being gorgeous, he is a believable MI6 agent, very serious, ruthless, brutal, who you can imagine doing whatever it takes in defence of the realm. The others lacked that, but this Bond is an adult version for the 21st century with some respect paid in Skyfall in particular to earlier times: the DB5 with all extra's; a new "Q" and "Moneypenny, with, as already said, an "M" in a fabulous wood panelled office.
