Conversion - Engine and Manual Transmission
« on: 29 December 2014, 18:35:18 »

Happy Holidays!

I would like to know what code/type/make and compatible to is the manual 5 speed transmission of a 2.5 v6 caravan? It's been my 3rd repair of the auto tranny and also for the purpose of saving on fuel consumption.

Has anyone replaced the engine to a none GM or BMW conversion? We are having problems here for reliability and costs of maintenance due to lack of parts availability and dealer shutdowns.

Thanks in advance

The R25 and R28 manual boxes will bolt straight on a 2.5 v6 (needing clutch/propshaft etc, if it was an auto).  If its the 2.5TD, it needs the bellhousing from a TD

Whereabouts are you, as that might affect parts availability  :-\

Thanks for the replies

Is it R25? I'll do a research on to what cars they have been installed. There are a lot of BMWs and Mercs here.

I'm From the Philippines, Manila
