Well the police certainly use/d Volvos, but the full fat T5 version, 2.3 hpt rather than that vaguely warm 2.4 lpt slushbox ;)

Leek free as well, which is good given the sprout consumption this year ;D one for Stemo maybe...

Indeed, the slushbox can't quite manage 250bhp, so Volvo reduced the autos to 240bhp... didn't really help ;D

I've driven a few S70's, they're good cars. But for £800 you can get a decent Volvo S60, oldest will be on the 'X' plate. 2.0T with 180bhp would be a good choice. I had one of the last 'old' shape S60's on a '58' plate. It covered 25k in my stewardship, averaging 30mpg and only ever needing service items.

Shame the seller doesn't mention the mileage in the advert!  ;)

one thing the S70 does'nt have is 4x4,although you can get AWD...but then saying that  both my Volvo's preformed better in the snow than any of my omegas ever did :y

that would be it then as all my omegas had them fitted..not sure what was on all the Volvo's though...mind you drifting on the 240 estate in the snow was an experience :o

Aye that would do it  ::)

Messing around in snow is pretty entertaining in any car, but Volvos are always good for that as it feels more 'wrong' ;D

.....................as well as a "long MOT".  That phrase always tickles me as an MOT can really only be for a maximum of a year of course, and in motoring a year is not a long time!! ;D ;D ;D :y

I see no harm in saying that. As the max is thirteen months, anything over nine can be described as 'long'.
Now stop putting people down, you hag.  ;D
