Just realised, up until the recent drop in fuel prices, so let's say 123p for petrol last November... the fuel in the V6, since her last fill-up in 2008, then getting laid up after crank sensor failure (with a full tank) has grown in value by about £25!!!  8) :D ;D 8) ::)

So is it 12 or 16 fluid ounces to a pint?  :-\  Showing my age here!  ;D  :y

16 fluid oz in a US pint and 20 in a (full fat) Imperial pint.

Aha! So a US and Imperial fluid ounce is the same!?  ::)  :-\  ;D

It's yet another reason to measure in metric. There's no confusion with litres.

So a US liter is the same as a European litre?  :-\  :D  ;D

nope ... 1 US Fl Oz = 1.04084 Imperial fl oz

A US Fl Oz is 1/16 of a US pint (29.6 ml)

An Imperial fl oz is 1/20 of an Imperial pint (28.4 ml)

So people would rather waste an hour of their time to save a few pence.

Once had a supermarket discount for fuel. Filled it to the brim for holidays. Think i saved £3.. which really helps when you spend £85.. ::)

Seattle isn't that cheap - it's about $2.60/gal here, so that's about £1.72/us gal and there are 3.79 US gallons per litre, £0.45 litre ;)

Since when ?? 0.264172 US Gallons = 1 litre last time I calculated a fuel uplift in the states  :)  :)  :)

but that was over 6 years ago, perhaps they've changed since then ... :) and it was an uplift of 50,000 litres ... perhaps the numbers change with scale ??  :)
Early liquid lunch perhaps ::)

I may have written it back to front but the rest of the maths stacks up  :P
