No it's a place that I rent out, where the tenant did one and left it in a bit of a state.      Hey ho.... 

Anyway the ice worked a treat! I made a big block last night in a marg tub, sat it on the gummy patch for half and hour and then gave it a good scrub and it's all come out! 

OOF to the rescue once again!!!

I'll see tomorrow when it's all dried out, but yes I might have a very clean patch!   

Should be good though, it's dark brown with a speckle in it, so it hides a lot of abuse!

Don't feel 'slighted' Al, I was keeping the spit method in reserve!    ie I'd have probably spat on it in disgust if the ice hadn't worked..

Cut out a square foot of carpet with a sharp knife and replace it with a piece from under the sofa.
