Truck tyres can be re cut X number of times after which they must be binned. Most truck tyres you see at the side of the road are the result of sidewall failure caused by either constant curb rubbing or over/underinflation

Sidewall failure is usually caused by the Wheel Guides which are positioned in front of the loading bays.  Why?  For several reasons;

Foreign drivers are 'blind-side' reversing onto loading bays.... not their fault, the cramped design of modern warehouses and their bays. 

UK drivers just don't give a Monkeys as they are probably Agency staff anyway.

UK owner drivers don't give a Monkeys as it's not their trailer.

Got an earlier appointment, just had them fitted. Got all the way back from the fitting station with no dramas

It was damp too. 

Were they worn out by the time you got home, if not, not trying hard enough!

You could try as hard as you want in that pile of shit exotic sounding motor vehicle and still have the stickers on the tyres after a trip to Glasgow and back!
