Hello

Also lookin for a mid section exhaust for my car a 2.6 estate. Tried the link in this section but they seem not to stock exhausts for the 2.6. Would also like a good quality new one but not at Vauxhall prices. Any suggestions please.
I have used Andrew Page in the past, but have not priced them recently

Buy a complete system from ETS, £92.00 delivered, they don't list a 2.6 or a 3.2, just a 3.0/2.5 same system. :)

Don't forget that saloon and estate systems are different as well :y

I've used these guys for a 2.2 and all ok - are 2.5 & 2.6 not very similar anyway?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Opel-Vauxhall-Omega-B-2-5-2-6-V6-Saloon-Silencer-Exhaust-System-350-/251165535785?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a7aa1ee29

That's where I got my 2.5 exhaust from...was really pleased with it. Car is really quiet. It came from Poland and took only four days to get here. Well packed and all fittings provided. :y The 2.6 may be getting a set in the near future too :y

Go to ets on ebay and order the system for a 2.5,also remember saloon and estate are different.

the difference between a 2.5and a 3.0l is 3.0 has twin outlets, 2.5 is single.

Am I right in thinking that the 2.5 system would need an extension tail on the back pipe to take it past the bumper?

Will try and take a measurement this evening, of my FLs backbox, vs my PFLs backbox   :y

You're right, in that the extra length is just the length of that last section of tube - it isn't like they've changed the location of the hangers, or made a new boot floor skin pressing just for the FL saloon over the PFL. I'm not massively sure what odds it makes if it is too short - as you say a couple of quid on a chrome tailpipe or whatever can sort that for looks.

Fitting a prefacelift exhaust to a facelift saloon will allow the exhaust gasses to collect behind the bumper, and could also lead to heat damage to the bumper if you drive it hard :-\

Alot of cars appear to have the exhaust exiting behind the bumper, but if you look closely you'll find the tail pipe points down...
