No probably tea using a second hand tea bag. There are probably some good buys with part worn but how do you know what unseen damage has occurred. Is it worth the risk?

I have Falken Azenis FK453. 235/45/17 and works fine
The older 452's were OK if not driven too hard. My theory was if you did overdrive them early on, they'd never recover. Not tried 453's though.

I have new set Uniroyal rainsport 3's on mine and no complaints  :y. I think the full geo setup also helped  :D. Had goodyear eagle F1 GSD3's before them  :y

I hear good reports of these.......with the exception of poor mileage.

Use to enjoy my drive to work, then they put average cash collection points, along the A1, so yup now sloooowed down.
If you are thinking they don't work, wrong know of 3 people been nicked, and done the speed awareness course.
A1 buckden-southoe, was a lovely set of bends at the old 70mph hofficer. :D

You're not wrong BG... Mickleham bends on the A24 tween Leatherhead and Dorking used to be a real challenge at the nsl when it was two lanes... Now at 50mph and one lane, a blind monkey could negotiate them one handed  :'(

That seems to be about the standard we're aiming at these days. ::)

Had some older Rainsports on my E34 525i - fantastic combination of chassis and tyre, very progressive breakaway. Could do entire laps of wet roundabouts sideways.
