I found the Jeep quite terrible on country roads, and you are talking to a man who had a Renault 4 as a company car many years ago............... ::) ::)

Cant speak for modern Range Rovers, but older ones were terrible on the twisty bits........ :)

Having been a passenger in two of Joshs' they're not bad to be a passenger in, and can easily keep up with most things :y Worlds apart from the Defender... (clearly no bad thing) ::)

I hear you there Tig I'd sooner afford a LS430 before one of these  :o

Good to know Vamps / Al  :y

Hmmm a supercharged one  :-* Link although it's the 'Proper Range Rover' not as keen on this from the exterior view at least, Handling any worse / better on these over the Sport ?

I fancy a proper RR, not that Sport one.  The Sport has more in common with Disco than a proper RR.

They are a very nice place to be.

I've been lucky enough to drive a few of the ones he's had :y

I have this weird split personality with Range Rovers.  The petrol ones, particularly that supercharged one he had 2 or 3 years ago, I drove it like a man possessed, and had to distract young joshwyatt away from the car when I handed keys back, so the brakes could stop smoking before he looked.  Yet that TD6 one he briefly had, I was content just tootling around in it, like a model citizen. The other V8 petrols probably fit somewhere in between from a hooligan perspective.

I really fancy trying a TDV8 one.  Powerful enough to keep up, economical enough (when not hoofing it) to be viable for me. On paper anyway.

I have this weird split personality with Range Rovers.  The petrol ones, particularly that supercharged one he had 2 or 3 years ago, I drove it like a man possessed, until I came across a bend and realised I was driving a water bed, so had to dump all the speed into the poor brakes.

Fixed for you. Well, my experience, at any rate. ;)
