In Other Words ... Go Along To Vx And Buy A Crank Sensor And Put It In The Glove Box Ready For The inevitable....

If you're worried about it, having a new one as a spare is stupid.
Fit the new one, and keep the original as the spare.

Think thats what i will do  :y  Roughly what sort of price are they from VX and do i need to look to see which type i have on the car first  :-\

Good point, I must fit my spare wheel tomorrow, as it has a new tyre. ::) ::) ::)

Check its a full size wheel first mate - normally they are a thinner and smaller dia wheel fitted as spare ;)

Crank sensor is one torx bolt. (which is in the boot) Hbv, not quite the same. Keeping a new one in the boot is a guarantee you wont need it. An old one in the boot half cooked ..
