What a week

As above what a week I've had  . . .  .   firstly  Tuesday morning , the trusty old transit luton van  "blows up"  just outside Marks Tey on the way to work  :'( :'( :'(    belching out blue smoke & a serious knock . Got it recovered & back home . Advice from a diesel  knowledgable  friend was that it will just be an injector gone . his words were " those engines are indestrucable -you won't blow one of those up "  It was still starting & running on 3 pots but smoking like hell with a real bad "knock" when increasing revs a little. Ordered a new injector as advised.

This morning (Friday)  have been going up to  work in  the 'guvnors 09 plate Iveco van since Tuesday. Lovely van compared to the old rattler transit . . . but  . . .  got just the other side of Rayleigh this morning & just stopped . Seems it is locked solid.Recovered by Green Flag & excellent service it was too :y  Garage where its been recovered to are saying probably cam belt  or if not a seized engine :o :o :o :o

It did not lock up  .  .   engine just stopped  . . . clutch down  & pulled over . .  . so seizure is unlikely IMO  . .  oil level ok ... normal on temp gauge  . .  but still waiting for garage to report :-\ :-\

Good news today  on the trusty old transit luton though  . . . now fixed with a new injector in No. 2 pot & running sweet as again  ::) ::)

Glad this week is over
