Drivers side headlight washer jet has decided to not only spray water onto headlight but also another jet almost vertical so assume jet needs replacing after my efforts to adjust .

Can these be removed for replacement without removing the entire front bumper or can access and removal/replacement be carried out without major up bodywork surgery

Are these still available from Dealers and assume they are handed ?....Time to remortgage I expect

Can be done with only headlight out, but is fiddly

I own an Omega V6 ,Al,so can deal with fiddly .

Assume jet body is held in place with a sliding locking spring plate which requires pulling away from the jet body,then pipework needs disconnecting like the fitting on the pump.

That's about the size of it...

Watch your fingers though, as the jets sit next to the end of the crash bar. Also the washer pipe is loosely located with a clip in the crash bar... needle nosed pliers to squeeze the blue tails of the clip together and it should simply drop down. Be gentle with the connection to the jet as they get quite brittle...

Are these the same washers that are on my 2001 2.6 Elite estate. If they are, I changed mine easy peasy by just jacking up the front drivers side. Had a look with a torch, saw what was what and did the job in minutes, and you know what a plonker I am.
So I am guessing they are different on later cars ??

All facelifts the same... but yes, that approach works equally well

Think I will try sourcing 2 new jets ready for warmer months then take bumper off and get to it all a whole lot easier.

You need to disconnect the jets to remove the bumper

Bumper off is a step further than your specific task requires

Terberts suggestion is a good shout, I hadn't even thought of that approach to that problem All it requires is a set of ramps, a torch and summat to lie on

When I bought the 2.6, it was missing the washer housing, which I got from here, but the jet has to come out to replace its housing. Once I sussed it had a plate holding the jet in, and the quick release clip, honestly, it was easy to do. The housing I put on was silver, and the car is gold, so I will have to respray it, probably on the car, but...if I do take it off, there is no way that I am taking the bumper off !!!!!!!!!

Thanks for advise Terbert as wasnt too keen having to remove entire bumper so will give your method a try.

Its just the washer jets that are needed as housing is fine.The jet pattern from drivers side sprays more up in the air than onto the actual light.

Will see if VX can source them new as imagine second hand will have similar issues

amba...I have a spare one here you can have if you want it. I can post it to you, or I can bring it to the Kent meet on saturday
