Lowering omega spring help
« on: 05 February 2015, 23:39:21 »

Well hello people how's it going
New on here, bought a omega last week needing a turbo and mot now she's up and running I want her looking good
I'm looking to lower it but can't find any second hand lowering springs and I'm not looking to spend much on springs atm
My question is has anyone used springs from another car like a corsa b ? Lol
I've seen it done with other cars but not sure about the omega
Cheers in advance

I'd imagine you'd find your Omega sitting on the deck if you fitted Corsa springs!  ;)  ;D

Welcome to the forum BTW!!  :y

Welcome. Without turning this into a suspension thread (you're best posting in the appropriate section) it's not just the height of the car to bear in mind, it's the stiffness. Omegas are heavy old things and you'd most likely find the handling seriously and dangerously compromised with anything from a smaller car - even if they are stiffer. There's plenty of spring options for the Omega without worrying about getting some from another car. Choice of Original, original LSC/MV6, Irmscher, Eichbach, coilovers (mixed results), plus others - you've plenty of options, plus dampers make a fair difference too.

Anyway, welcome, and look forward to chatting.  :)
