I got a Bergan set a few years ago.
Never managed to split one yet  :y

Why do you want impact sockets, are they specifically for an impact gun?

They are Mark, yes. Just started at a garage and my ones are a bit short and the deep ones are a lot nicer to use. Impact gun is cordless Makita and got to say. . . . It's bloody awesome

Ok just checking.

I have a set of deep and shallow impact sockets but find they are not much use for some jobs as impact sockets have thick walls.

Hence they are great with an impact gun but not good for standard uses  :y

And your 1/2 impact wrench will quite happily snap the M6 bolts that you'll use a 10mm socket on. I'd expect a 1/2" set to start at about 15mm and go up from there. 30&32 sockets are worth getting for hub nuts etc, and a 27 will do 4x4/Transit wheelnuts. Fill in the others as you find you need them; large, deep impact sockets aren't cheap.

Well, went with Andy's suggestion and got a Sealey set (thanks Andy). 10, 11,12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 24, 27, 30, 32.

£39.95.

Mark, bang on about the wall thickness. I've found that only really a concern with lug nuts though (too thick to get in to the hole). But I been undoing subframe bolts, axle nuts etc with the thick deep ones no problems.

Nick, yeah you're prob right. I undid the 10mm rear subframe bracket bolts on a few Fords, no problems. but certainly take ya point that it could easily happen  :y

A decent hex set should be on your crimbo list then, rather than using impact in non impact applications :y

A decent hex set should be on your crimbo list then, rather than using impact in non impact applications :y

Why's that then? Don't really see any issue in using them with breaker bar and or ratchet?  :-\
