Brake servo to V6 plenum vac pipe needed
« on: 11 February 2015, 14:46:16 »

I am in need of the hard vacuum pipe that runs around the back of the plenum from the brake servo to the plenum.... it needs to have the twin outlet for the vacuum system. I have been reliably informed that there are 2 types, I need the type that has 1 vac connector on the return valve and 2 extras along the length of the hard pipe about 1-2 inch away from the return valve...

I have tried Steve on Omegaparts who informed me of the difference, unfortunately he has none in stock at the moment... :(

Not urgently needed but could do with one in the next couple of weeks :)

Thanks folks...

Have you tried a proper motor factors? You can buy vacuum hose that will work with your fittings, which would get you on the road with a minimum of hassle.

That diagram is worth it weight in gold. Confirm with great care and patience that your pipes are following that route. Also you can't discount the possibility that someone in the car's past has plumbed them up incorrectly.   :)

Hopefully sorted now :)

The Vac pipe thats broken can't be bought from any motor factors or even Vauxhalls anymore as the part is obsolete...

I tried to buy a set of HT leads from the local Vx dealers and they came back and told me that they don't do those anymore as they're too old.... gee thanks GM...

What????  >:(

Ok, if you're in the market for HTs, I did a fair amount of research for these, as I just got a set - get Vectra V6 (X25XE) ones - they'll fit. They're actually overall fractionally longer, by 10-30mm here and there. Personally I got Bosch, at under £40 but whatever you get, you'll more often than not find Omega leads are about a third dearer, for quite literally less wire!

Obsolete my arse!! Does the Insignia have an electrically operated sunblind?? I think not!!!

Give me a pm if you want leads. I should have them in Black, Red or Blue. Very good quality.
