This was exactly the problem we experienced with her last stroke,hospital ready to discharge her but couldn't due to social services being unable to get carers in place for her so she was taking up a bed she didn't need.Hopefully this time things will happen slightly quicker as carer visits were only cancelled as from this morning as she doesn't have carer visits from Saturday morning through to Monday morning as I do that for her at weekends.

Well care plan for Maureen is exactly as it was before Saturdays events.The only changes are that the doseage of one of the many tablets she takes daily has been increased from 80 to 120mg per day and an extra tablet has been added to the mix.As it was only at the weekend that all this kicked off the care plan has been resumed without delay and she arrived home mid afternoon today.Obviously I'm well chuffed and yet a little niggly voice at the back of my mind keeps asking is it too soon?I know the medics know their job and all that but given her condition on Saturday evening it does all seem rather hurried to me.

I'm happy to hear that your good lady is back at home, Baza, hope she makes a good recovery. But, as I always say in these cases, try not to put too much on yourself, you're no good to anyone if you make yourself ill.
