Lost Her
« on: 20 February 2015, 10:01:28 »

Further to my recent posts regarding Maureen having a second stroke plus a seizure last Saturday evening and then being discharged as fit on Wednesday afternoon, well just after 10pm last night she had a further stroke which sadly proved one fight too many and she passed away shortly before midnight. At least it seemed as peaceful as you could reasonably expect, she simply stopped breathing and slipped away no sign of pain on her face or anything. As a family we'd already decided on a DNR notice in  place although even if we hadn't it's extremely doubtful it would have been to any avail.Damn I'm going to miss the stubborn old mule!!

Oh, that awful news,  :'(  all the very very best wishes to you all, and you know OOF is here to help in anyway we can. I've managed to lose two close relatives in the last year, so if there's anything that can be done with advice/anything, please feel free to pop a PM. Kindest thoughts to you all, and glad she's now at peace and it was a painless passing.

That's a shock, I thought things were looking up a bit   :'(

Our thoughts are with you and your family, and hope you can take some solice in that it was probably the best way to go in the end. Not that that helps much at the moment  :'(
