Very surprised.
« on: 02 March 2015, 16:10:49 »

That no one, or it least seems, didn't put up a post about the 1 owner Silver 31,000 mile :o 2.6 elite for sale in Dunstable. I spotted yesterday in Ebay Classics yesterday  Don't all rush at once guys,by the time you ve read this the listing will have ended.. Went For a butchers this afternoon. Seemed like a decent chap as he disclosed what he got it for. Anyway first off .it wouldn't  start, but he jumped it, and it sounded very sweet indeed, bodywork superb all round, interior immaculate. Chatted for 20min engine running, temp gauge reading zero. Mmmm something a mis here   :-\Lastest bid £2150 with 2 hours left. Gut feeling, walk away, I Did. He drove off leaving a nice puddle where she been sitting idling and left a even better 10 yard trail of nice clean water as he departed. Sorry chaps I pad tech not my thing :y

You dipped out if you were after one... Aircon will leave quite an impressive puddle if sat for twenty minutes... Temp gauge reading zero suggests the wire has been dislodged from the sensor :-\

My temp gauge only works when it feels like it, also Aircon leaves quite a puddle under the car.

Yep, clear water will have been the aircon, I'm afraid.

Still, that's very strong money and a car that old with that low miles isn't necessarily going to be a bed of roses.. especially if the thermostat is stuck open and it's running stone cold.
