Urgent help
« on: 05 March 2015, 15:33:20 »

Hi guys, a bit urgent help needed here - after rocker cover gaskets done, cam belt and thermostat replaced I put all back together, started the car  and ot all went fine until engine warmed up then EML came on and doesn't go off. Tried paper clip test and only codes I got are 12 (?) and 17..... What did I do wrong? Could it be one of those bloody vacuum hoses?

This is normally due to missing a connector during the rebuild.  There are two types of Omega mechanic:

- those who admit to missing a connector during the rebuild, and
- those who lie about it

Just go over it all again and you will find it.   :y

When the cambelt on mine was done some bloody idiot didn't reconnect the bottom multiram plug. EML on and it felt a bit flat.
At least that was easier to fix than the knackered hose clamp above the alternator that caused a serious waterleak.
