Monthly DD for my payment for the RAC cost me SFA extra.

This is how it should be. :)

Rang DVLA yesterday to discuss moving a direct debit to a different account...

Eventually spoke to a helpful lady who said, "You've paid for March, so simply cancel it then on or after April 1st you'll simply need to retax it..."

Great, nice and easy... so off I trot and cancel the direct debit...

This morning I receive an email from the saying that the direct debit has been cancelled and that I need to retax the car immediately  ???

That'll be another 25 minute call tomorrow  >:(

Can't you just set up a new DD from the other account. Job done?  :-\
