Lives in Shropshire.

Female Age: 36   Drives: 2.5 CDX

I thought Dusty drove a 2.6?

Can anybody tell me what the strange mechanism on the underside of the boot lid, on my 2.6?

It looks like a lever with a cable attached. Don't know what it does, can you help?

Thanks

 :-?

You are very observant Scruntie, should read 2.5CDX and recently aquired 2.6.

2.5 may be for sale very shortly

Debs.

Gets cheaper as you get older.

I saw bigger discounts as I turned 18, 21 and 25.

Certainly didnt do me any favours in 1985.

Full no claims.

That's what I thought too.  When I turned 25 I was expecting a huge difference but never happened.  I think they've upped the age to 30 for male drivers to get a break.  Don't quote me on that but I'm sure someone mentioned it to me recently.

I was refused insurance on Jimbobs MV6 by some companies as i was under 30 at the time!
Was seriously cheesed off about it as i have a much better driving history and no points!

When I had my MkII Astra GTE, insurance was £900 (this is back in 1991). The following year (no accidents/points/claims etc), it went up to £3k, so I sold it.
