3.2 is other way around for me, cool at rear vents hot through others. Toes get nice and hot, but rear still cool.

Tried flushing matrix, resetting system (via the auto-circulate) holding auto ect. Arm thing that controls vents appears ok, still sod all.

Now I just force the air to face and feet via the controls and it's fine, although rear vents still not great.

Just remove the dash switch panel and there are two connectors plugged in
the back of the climate control unit/ECU - the yellow one on the N/S can
come out without invitation, so make sure it stays put (it unplugs by
pulling out the black plastic retaining clip).
After the first hard reset, I had different temps on left and right.

Does sound like incorrect opperation from the cc panel.


On the face lift, quite often I find the reset doesn't work, unless it's done with engine off, key in ignition position 2. ...?

Right, I've just been out and tested it.

I put the blower on full, turned the temp to Hi and switched to windscreen only. The engine was at normal temperature.

Result:

1. A little cold air was coming through the front side vents.
2. Nothing came through the middle front vent.
3. Lots of hot air was coming through the rear vents.
4. I didn't notice any air in the footwells.
5. Some cold air was blowing on the windscreen.

I hope this means something.

Would it be worth buying a Haynes manual, do you think?

Haynes manuals covered the P/F/L and M/F/L models and not the F/L,however how much if at all this affects things in regard of possible differences in operation I don't know.

No-one seems to know the answer to why I can only get warm air to the rear vents and not the front ones.

I don't know where else to look.
