Hilarys blinds
« on: 24 March 2015, 13:10:56 »

Just had a visit for measure and free quote for some vertical blinds, 3 windows about 4-5ft wide and about a 4ft drop. While he was measuring he showed me the samples, seemed a bit thin and flimsy but he assured me that's what they are all like and reminded me that there is 50% off at the moment.
He finished measuring and I chose the material and he put all the info into his little gizmo.
Right sir, he said, that comes to ...........£749......half price......£374.50.

We'll....I laughed...I laughed and laughed......I was still laughing as he got in his van and drove off.

£750, I could get new windows for that. ;D

THE most expensive blind supplier there is.

You could pick those blinds up for circa £150 and fit yourself from the likes of Ambition Blinds

These direct sales companies make me laugh.  They advertise a 50% sale, but don't advertise any prices so you don't know what you are getting 50% off!  ::)

Any 'national' home improvements company should be given a very wide berth in my opinion.  ;)  Find a local independent if you don't want to DIY.  :y

Yes, there ok, used them before, I rate Ambition Blinds higher to be honest (the material is better quality and the same as that you get from Hilarys)  :y

Maybe you could go for curtains instead? Would look nice with some nice matching cushions.

How about a chaise longue? ;D
