1ZZ-FE so, yes, the one with the dodgy oil control rings & drains (revised in 2003) that can lead to oval bores and excessive oil loss..

Although at that age if it hasn't gone then it probably won't go (unless neglected).

2ZZ-GE (in cars with "VVTL-i", so the 190hp versions of the Celica etc) are unaffected
