galaxy ??
« on: 29 March 2015, 19:44:57 »

right,
no I am NOT selling the Omega, NOT scrapping it or similar.
I want to keep it as second Car.
despite to the Goverment wishes to get rid of Gas Guzzlers i love em and i dont give a shit what Vermin David c. wants. simple. lol

i be talking today with a very good friend about a newer Car.
Due me doing loads of Mileage, want to be comfy and need Space, i be looking something like a Galaxy.
3 Years old maybe.
Finance of Course with Warranty and Stuff in case of Problems, but all this will be sorted to my Advantage or no deal.
I am very picky if i soend some Money in a Car. lol

now I am looking Petrol only, Automatik and of course Leather Interior, Aircon, all the usual for me standart Toys.
means nearly everything so i can play while im in boring stuck traffic.

Soundsystem wil be exchanged anyway to my Stadarts not \\manufacterer recomendations.

my question,

anybody driving one, or drove one, or can tell me some about it.
I am looking something like a 2.3 to 2.9 preferable v6 engines, bigger the better as long life guarante also easy to tow my caravn.

anybody ???

Thank you in Advance.

( i know there maybe cheaper and better ones the same size around but the guy works for Ford, therefore the biggest Spaceship from Ford is the Galaxy )

If you want petrol/auto/3 years old, the you want SMax 2.5 Ecoboost.

You can't buy the current Galaxy as a petrol except possibly a gutless pos 2.0 :-\

And kindly stop referring to the Prime Minister as 'vermin'. I guess you'd soon get pissed off if you were referred to as 'pikey scum' or similar in every post :-X

That sounds good.
anyone know of relyabilitys on those engines?
seems a small 4 cylinder high powerd?

anyway,
sorry to step on your toes by expressing my opinion,
but i have a disabled partner at home and thanks to his ideas she has a hard life keeping up with all this crap he
is insulting disabled people. and belive me she would go to work and swap gladly with anyone who can live normal.
on top all this stupid ideas he has otherwise making every normal person hard work for note and the bosses and company owners having a easy life.
i ony see my expenses since he is in power, job opunitys, wages, living costs, petrol prices, laws, mainly stupid ones which helps himself, and so on. i dont have any positive since he is in power.
all them lies he gives from himself to get him back in power so he can opps us even more about.

sorry, no i dont like this guy. never did from the day his picture came first up on tv.
i was right !!!

and thats my opinion.

everybody who likes him, fine, he wont get my vote, and i know a lot of people who dont vote for this guy again.

a PM should work for his country and his country and his people ony, not in favour of other countrys on his owns peoples cost.

OK - rant over about him.

His now dead son was severely disabled, so don't assume that he knows nothing of the things people have to endure in their lives. Besides, he took over after Labour bled the country dry right into one of the worst recessions since the 1930s... We are currently paying back all those perks and benefits that everyone took for granted, so be careful what you wish for.

If you want a large engined petrol car, and want to feel like you're sticking it to 'The Man', get a Volvo V50 T6 through the motability scheme :y

That comment high lighted above just goes to show you have not got a clue when it comes to this government and their care (or lack of it) for the disabled ....as for me I do have as since my car accident I have been  registered as disabled luckily I can work but I do see the struggle most have if they cannot work >:(

You say that, but .. my ex-other half's family have a Motability car for their son (registered disabled as he has cerebral palsy); every three years they get a brand new Ford Galaxy with everything paid for. Which seems pretty caring to me.. (actually not sure if they have to 'top up' the allowance, to be fair..)

Op wanted a bigger engined petrol car upto three years old... Hence the Volvo suggestion, and I have actually enquired of the scheme fir my mother, so don't be quite so quick to jump to conclusions ;)

Only reason she won't is she feels that she isn't entitled to it. With the Volvo, you have to contribute towards the purchase price :y

I am not jumping to anything of the sort...your reply to the op is lacking any form of respect....and I would go as far to say is derisory

Children, children, calm down.

Politics is always going to be a sensitive subject, and even more so as all the lies from all political parties are spouted for the next few weeks, so probably best to try to keep the passion out of it, and stick to the facts if you must discuss such drivel.

RIGHT

if i stept on someone toes so sorry.
i just impressed my personnel feelings about the current situation and what's happened in this country.
Not everyone agreed to it, but i see my wallet and petrol prices etc before the government interest.

i actually turned a Job Offer down couple weeks back because D Cameron was one of the founder and is involved with this Company.
Hence the Slavery Contract which proofed to me what i already knew.

best we leave it at that.
there is no reason starting a war about it.

back to the subject above.
the Car, which we all been good at, some better some perfect.

i looked at all cars which are big and have a big engines.
i was not going on finance about the contract and condition with having a expensive car and paying loads on top.
Fact is, i can get a very good deal on ford, if it would be other i wouldn't go for it.
see it this way, i would pay around the same amount a month for a big ford including mot, tax, insurance, and services etc, which i get included on this family deal as i pay at the moment for the omega to keep it up to scratch with little bits and bops.
but i only get this deal on ford, and it is NOT a mobility Founded Car.

I finance this on my own, of course it will be disabled taxed, why not, but the car is mine at the end, * i use it for more then only family )
well, after a year i will exchange for another and so on.
but the deal is far better as i can ever get any other for different makes.

I drove a Galaxy last year in Ireland, it was this shape:

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/used-cars/ford/galaxy/used-ford-galaxy-2-0-tdci-zetec-5dr-macclesfield-fpa-201503302186001?logcode=p

Think mine was 1.8 TDCi, being a hire car usually do have smallest engines. But even 1.8 was enough, fully loaded 6 people up plus a ton a bags, it went ok. It's a family bus after all so don't see need for big performance with load of kids onboard.

Huge amounts of room with rear seats down, felt quite comfy to drive. Never did big distances in it, most was about 90 mins but felt fine. Clutch pedal was sticky, sometimes would not pop back up all the way! It was fairly new too, so i'd be concerned about older examples. I'd get a low milage one if going this route myself.

RE Disability, friend of mine has issues walking. He can still drive, walk ect, without need for sticks but he has a number of issues with his back and legs. He gets on the mobility scheme, he gets a brand new VW Golf about every 2 years, so system looks to work ok for him.

If you're prepared to go older, tbe 2.8 v6 4x4 js a rare but formidable beast... Very thirsty though wnd hideously expensive to fuel and fix.

Current shape car is a much better proposition, but if you don't need seven seats, the S Max makes for a good estate car, and is available with Volvos peach of a 2.5 turbo petrol lump. :y

Unfortunately, thanks to the EU and emissions based company car tax regimes the vast majority of cars currently available are diesel :-\
