Should be 225/55 R16 (99W) if original CD spec wheels - worth a quite look at the tyre walls to be sure  :y

I've just ordered some Runway Enduro 926 for mine - had ok reviews here and not expensive - £74.60 fitted.

Steve

Thats expensive for those - just had some fitted to Estate @ £64 each fitted all in incl VAT etc

Not heard from Cem for a while, I hope he is OK :-\

Yep he's still posting regularly on Farcebook ;)

Where did you get them at that price? I can still shop around....

The tyres I got fitted was Neuton NT5000 tyres from neobrothers.co.uk.  Very very pleased with them and I would buy them again.  :y

Now replaced by the NT8000 as I understand. Neobrothers like 'em on their ubiquitous SAAB's (they seem to have plenty.....)

They often do good deals on them at the Total Vaux thing at Santa Pod

I thought at the time the NT8000 was a direct replacement for the NT5000 but they are not, not here in the UK only in Europe AFAIK. Our weather conditions here are better suited to the NT5000 and that's why they still sale them here.

That might explain why Neobrothers still advertise 5000's then. Must say I dont think I've seen the 8000

Thanks Andy :y

Before recommending any tyres, we need to understand the OP's requirements and expectations.

For example, and I'm sure tunnie won't mind me berating him one more time, but what is suitable for me would be completely unsuitable for him. Even though he has discovered what TC feels like.

And obviously you're all wrong. Without doubt, the best tyre for the Omega was the (sadly obsolete) Sport Maxx TT.  Stonkingly good tyre for the Omega. Very reasonable grip laterally and longitudinally, reasonable life if driven sedately, best ever for straight line stability, and amazing feedback and consistency. You always knew when and which tree was going to kill you.

This is for the 2.2 Estate which is mainly used around town with very occasional longer runs when the 2.5 is off the road. Used to carry a boot full of wood often and not driven in any way 'enthusiastically'. Price and safety (predictability) are both important.

Jeeeesus Tunnie. A good tyre? H just binned four of those ku31's with half the tread left, as she kept loosing the back end, with under steer at the front. ::) all be it on her is300.

I suppose it's a good tyre if you get out and push the thing round corners.

Anyway, isn't it the 39 now? 31 discontinued?
Now I thought we agreed that tyre reviews for Omega tyres were only worthwhile if the tyre was tried on an Omega. Whats your name? Cem :P
Not heard from Cem for a while, I hope he is OK :-\
I believe he has left here like some others all went very close to each other
I meant in real life  ;) in Turkey.

Mine seems to have developed sensitivity to the road surface again now! No where near as bad as before the wishbone change and step but still a backwards step  :-\

Tyres worn down a bit?

It is the omega way if so... Well that's a bit un fare actually. Handling will go off as the tyres wear. It's just the omega seems so sensative to tyre profile re stability, IME.

The full extent of decline in stability depends on which tyre, some are worse that others. The Dunlop TT for instance, degrades quite badly after 5k on an omega. Noticeably worse than an sc3 for example with the same miles.
