maf and manifold help needed

im doing the 3ltr conversion to my 2.5 with 2.6/3.2 exhaust manifold...the questions i have is are the 2.5 manifold gaskets the same as the 2.6 and will the 2.5 maf work with the 3ltr conversion....do i need to buy another maf as mine was working fine before...cheers

Can't help with the MAF, but the gaskets aren't compatible. You need the 2.6/3.2 gaskets to match the manifolds, as neither have the EGR holes. They're surprisingly expensive too.

The gaskets are compatible. In fact its always recommended to use the 2.6/3.2 gaskets on the earlier engines.

If you lay a 2.5 gasket on a 2.6 manifold, you'll see that they won't work. Been there, done that, and still got the 3.0l exhaust gaskets that came with my head set.


You need the 2.6/3.2 gaskets to match the manifolds. Which is what I wrote the first time!
