reverse light issue.
« on: 06 April 2015, 12:50:53 »

Hey folks, just wondering if anyone can advise where I can solve my lack of reverse lights.
They've never worked since I bought it and it's become tedious now. Checked the bulbs for known good ones and now I have had the car in the air to check the switch on the gearbox. That is intact and wires all look fine etc, so unplugged it and reconnected it. Still no joy. Is there anywhere else to look please? Really doing my head in reversing with no lights.

If that's ok too, then new switch :y

Is the fuse totally separate on these or in conjunction with something else? Tried looking at the fuse box and it didn't seem that apparent.
Switch can fail in the box then? Are these cheap to come by?

Assuming manual switch should be less than a tenner :y

Please read the manual regarding the fuse, although that age has pictures instead of fuse numbers on the inside of the fusebox panel :y

Ta for the info, yeah it's all diagrams on the fuse panel and isn't that obvious. I'll look at changing the switch. Will this  remove easily without moving the box to access?

Fuse 15 according to...

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/index.php?topic=90451.0

Does everything else on the list work? If yes, then switch is toast, if no, replace the fuse, though it should be obvious if it's blown or not ::)

Switch should simply unscrew, again assuming it's manual...  :y
