I just KNEW somebody would take me seriously. Sorry Steve, let it be known that I would never actually do it....well, maybe to wood pigeons, because they are at it every daylight hour!

Get the cat chipped by your vet, small chip injected in the neck. This can be used to return the cat to you if he gets lost. We then use the below which reads the chip.

Works really well  :y

Thanks for that.............. :y :y

Good to know Ron and sorry if I took it too literally - it has happened around here and some people just read stuff online and do what they read without any thought.

Surely you have some left-over antifreeze around?
My pet hat is the day-long annoing calls of the wood pigeons who never seem to shut up - and THEY are far more difficult to deal with. Of course, if anyone has a solution that works....

Ron.

Your out of order there Ron!

Have the same flap here and it works really well  :y they also make cat bowls that only let the right animal feed, handy if the dog scoffs the cat food!

Yeah, good idea, but, the outline cut in the door is a different shape to most other cat flaps. Or It's certainly different to ours put it that way. No real biggy as its a double glazed type door with a plastic lower panel which can be replaced. For £30, if I take the old one out and take it to them for size. On a Saturday. :(

We will be changing it though as other cats can just as easy get in if they also have a magnet with our current cat flap.

Surely a bucket of cold water flung over Tiddles would have the deterent effect without causing any lasting harm.

A supersoaker yes, a whole bucket no - not sure I could throw a bucket of water at our cat before it moved anyway.
