Actually...maybe it's a middle-aged car forum member thing. I was reading on another Vx site how, to save spending such a vast amount of money, one could drive to B&Q, find some hollow aluminium tube, queue up and pay, drive home, get out your tools and fashion one that might do the job....thus saving.......about a pound.

My FIL paid £5000 for a 4 bedroom detached house in 1971......complete with garage.

Three days now and getting to know my astra. Getting used to having to rag it a bit to get the best out of it and, like my wife, I think it actually enjoys it.
One very small annoyance. I drove it at dusk last night and I could see the red DIC display reflected in my drivers door window. I don't like that colour display, not at all relaxing, or particularly clear.

That is correct, they are supposed to spray a line close to the wipers level which ensures the screen gets correctly wiped.

Tool arrived this morning, works but very fiddly.
This is the fella if anyone buys a late Vauxhall, won't work on omegas.

It will work on an Omega if you fit Insignia washer jets they are a bugger to adjust without the special tool though- thanks for the link steve

A couple of hours before you do the job, Andy, give them a squirt of WD40. Makes the job easier when you get round to it.

Depends which part of London. Prices in most parts were reasonable then, but yuppies bought up loads of them and declared the surrounding area as 'up and coming' and called them 'village'.

The gentrification of London is gaining speed with each passing day.

Locations  once  described as 'shitholes' are now suddenly desirable.

Indeed opti. I live round the corner from Hackney which was among the shitholes now labelled trendy. I still wouldn't feel comfortable walking in that area at night with packing
