is there any way of finding out which coil pack has gone down on a 2.6
 thanks

Pedal trick should highlight it on a 2.6. Mine recently played up and pedal trick showed 0300 Random Misfire and 0304 Misfire on cylinder 4 (2,4,6 bank). This is just an example of what you may find.  :y

Take the packs out on both sides, check the plugs, that may give you a sign.

Could just be oil in the plugs  :y

However if it's miss-firing, it should give some codes  :-\

Yes. It would give a code for which exact pot is miss firing.

300 is random/multiple

Then 301,302 ect, depending on the pot.

It's been bucketing with rain recently, so may even just be water ingress. Check scuttle foam is dry.
